Updates from National UNITY Council’s Evynn Richardson Southeastern Regional Representative:
During the month of December, I participated in the Brooke Simpson concert as an Indigenous dance performer and I helped to build the youth council list for the Southeast. Native youth of the Haliwa-Saponi community in Rocky Mount, NC. Being able to represent as an Indigenous person on a bigger platform, because of people who have paved the way before you is awe-inspiring. Being able to see Brooke Simpson climb the ladder and take her people with her is inspiring.
