UNITY is searching for four Native youth to serve as News Anchors for UNITY News segments that will be shown during the National UNITY Conference. Two main anchors, a weather anchor and a sports anchor will be chosen. Each contestant is required to complete a brief audition video within a 60 second time limit.
A $200 cash honorarium will be awarded to the four winners.
Those selected will also earn an all-expense-paid trip to Phoenix to record the news segments at a Phoenix TV station prior to the conference!
UNITY News Anchor Contest Details:
-Contestant must be between 18 – 24 years old
-Contestant must produce a brief News Anchor video (60 seconds or less). Note: you may have an assistant (i.e. cameraman) but you alone will be considered as a UNITY New Anchor.
-UNITY has provided a script template for you to use (see below – select the category).

– Production Value
– Technical Merit
– Brevity and Concise Vocabulary
